Bariatric Surgery in New Jersey

Bariatric surgery, commonly known as weight loss surgery has become the only effective, long term solution with an 85-90% success rate. Patients may lose over half their excess body weight after bariatric surgery and the risks of surgery are often minimal compared to the risk of doing nothing about morbid obesity and related health problems.

Obesity is an epidemic in the United States with the majority of Americans either overweight or obese. Obesity has also steadily risen in New Jersey, with a quarter of the population overweight or obese. Unfortunately, diets and weight loss medications, have been proven to have a nearly 99% failure rate – especially for the morbidly obese (100 pounds or more overweight).
