Advanced Surgical Associates provides support groups at our New Jersey office and online for our weight loss surgery (index) patients. We have found that these support groups provide an excellent opportunity for patients to discuss their various personal and professional issues. Most learn, for example, that weight loss surgery will not immediately resolve existing emotional issues or heal the years of damage that morbid obesity (understanding obesity) might have inflicted on their emotional well-being. Our support groups are designed to help you answer your short-term and long-term questions and needs. Our experience shows that taking part in ongoing support groups has helped produce the greatest level of success for our patients.
Support Group Meeting Schedule Overlook Hospital (The Wallace Auditorium)
Support Group meetings are held on a monthly basis for all patients who have undergone weight loss surgery with Dr. Feteiha. All weight loss surgery patients are strongly encouraged to attend.

Support groups will be offered at Summit Medical Group from 6-7pm. These support groups are open to all patients. Weight loss surgery patients are strongly encouraged to attend.

What is OSSG-Feteiha?
We are an obesity surgery support group for patients and potential patients of Muhammad Feteiha, M.D. This list is intended for Dr. Feteiha’s patients. We also welcome anyone who is interested in becoming a patient, or family members and friends who wish to support the weight loss surgery candidate. The purpose of this group is to provide support and encouragement and to address non-medical questions and concerns, as well as to post announcements pertaining to support group meetings and informal social gatherings. PLEASE remember that we are NOT medical professionals. If you should have a medical inquiry or concern, PLEASE contact Dr. Feteiha’s office at 973-232-2300.
